Instagram will confirm the age of its users to reinforce security within its platform
Instagram implemented the confirmation of the date of birth since 2019, as a strategy to reinforce the security of its platform, which has a strong community of underage users. Now it has taken this measure a step further, by making confirmation mandatory to be able to view certain content, and make use of the application.

In the first instance, users who have not registered their date of birth will receive a pop-up notification when entering the application asking them to confirm their birthday. If not answered, some notifications will appear again during navigation within the platform instagram story viewer. At the time, if the user has not yet confirmed the information, it will be mandatory to do so in order to continue using the application. That is, if you do not, the application will be blocked for use until the user confirms the information.
