3003 Lubricated Container Foil is a manganese-alloyed aluminum foil engineered for stamping and drawing disposable food containers. Based on AA3003, it offers stable formability and good corrosion resistance, while a controlled, factory-applied lubricant layer reduces friction against tooling and supports consistent forming at high press speeds.
A key advantage is improved drawability with fewer defects such as tearing, excessive thinning, and sticking to dies. Lower friction helps reduce galling and tool contamination, improving dimensional repeatability, rim quality during curling/flanging, and surface appearance—important for stacking and automated denesting.
