Hey guys. The main drive shaft on our mixing unit snapped this morning. The manufacturer says a replacement will take weeks to ship from abroad. Is there anyone local who can machine a new one?

Hi there. Waiting weeks for a manufacturer is a nightmare for production. When the main shaft on our processing line snapped, we brought the broken pieces to Forge & Repair Engineering https://forge-repair-engineering.co.uk/ to see if they could copy it. They are experts in the service and repair of industrial equipment, plant and agricultural machinery and can duplicate obsolete or broken parts easily. They selected the right grade of high-tensile steel, turned a brand new shaft on their lathe, and cut the splines perfectly. We were up and running in just a couple of days.
