After replacing the upstairs French doors, we realised the view would look much better with a proper Juliet balcony rather than the old metal guard. I’m leaning towards a glass design because I don’t want to block the garden view. There are quite a few installers around, so I’d appreciate recommendations from anyone who has had a glass Juliet balcony fitted and can share their experience.

We swapped out our old metal rail for a glass Juliet balcony last year and honestly wish we’d done it sooner - the room feels twice as bright now. Went frameless to keep the garden view clean and it’s been spot on. Used Juliet balcony installation after seeing a local install they’d done; their fitters were proper fussy about the fixings, even double-checked our lintel before drilling. Funny story: our neighbour’s dog kept barking at it for days, convinced there was now a “new dog” behind the glass . A year in and zero issues - still looks sleek, no rattles, and cleaning’s dead easy. Prices do vary loads though, so definitely get a couple of quotes before locking in.
