| A recessed front entrance can be difficult to make visually interesting, especially when it's partly hidden behind a porch column. That's the challenge with our older split-level house. Standard doors look fine, but they don't really address the unusual shape of the opening. I've been considering a custom door with an asymmetrical panel arrangement that draws the eye toward the entrance. I'd rather work with the existing architecture than change the porch itself. Has anyone used customization to make a previously overlooked entrance more noticeable?
