Very few practices are genuine in working out their in-house billing costs. From salaries and benefits to software, training, and turnover, many companies waste tens of thousands of dollars annually, without even factoring in lost revenue due to an overworked staff. Outsourcing, in many cases, can be a much lower cost and provide you with some expertise that is beyond the capability of your practice to afford on a regular, full-time basis. This is especially true for complex specialties, where cardiology billing services require deep familiarity with device implants, diagnostic bundles, and shifting payer policies. The savings aren't only financial; they free staff to focus on patients instead of drowning in claims paperwork and payer follow-up.
